Mark Powers: Floater, Mbrascatu
What a team! PDX Spotlight were super pro throughout their process of producing an episode from one of our live shows. Before, during and after, the communication was excellent and the quality was stellar. The end result was a fantastic video capture to share with fans. Cameras everywhere but, once the show started, I didn’t know they were there. Highly recommended!
Gil Assayas: Glasys
When I first moved to the US 3 years ago, I wanted to get noticed by the local music scene but really had no idea where to begin. It’s thanks to people like Mike Burling and the PDX Spotlight team that I was able to get my music out there! Mike is very approachable, he works tirelessly to scout for new bands and gives everyone a chance to perform live on a professional TV show. I was lucky to be on the show, and my performance video was shared hundreds of times which exposed my music to a lot of new fans! The whole process was a pleasure and everyone in the PDX Spotlight team was extremely professional and easy to work with.
Charley McGowan: pseudoboss
Mike and PDX Spotlight were wonderful, not only were they professional and kind, they brought in top notch staff to capture our sound when pseudoboss came in to track our episode. Ultimately it was a lot of fun to do, I would absolutely recommend what they do to other bands, and have! Seeing their growth has been exciting too, since they’ve been landing bigger and bigger acts on the show!
PDX Spotlight does gorgeous work showcasing top-quality bands. I love getting to see the energy of the live-show, and getting to know the bands better through the interviews.

They produce serious, long-form journalism paired with dynamic audio and visual recordings that document and celebrate Portland’s musicians and music community.
Pat Kearns: Blue Skys For Black Hearts
It was a pleasure to work with the PDX Spotlight crew. I was struck by the professionalism of the shoot right from our arrival. PDX Spotlight’s crew was in place and thoroughly prepared to shoot our band as we walked in the doors.
